I need to confess something up front, my brain doesn’t do silence.
I always have a theme tune in my head, all day, every day. Not in a charming, “oh how whimsical” way either. More in a, “why is my internal radio playing again, and who gave it the aux cable” kind of way.
So when I wrote The Infinitium, something predictable happened. Each chapter started arriving with its own theme track, like the universe was scoring the scenes in real time. Sometimes it was cinematic and obvious, the kind of music you’d expect to hear if you were watching the chapter unfold on a screen.
But here’s the problem, inside my head there are always two soundtracks.
There’s the one you would expect.
And then there’s the one I actually heard.
So that’s what this page is. Both versions. The sensible soundtrack, and the one my brain insisted on using anyway.
I’ll list the tracks with the chapters they belong to, and when I get time I’ll build proper playlists for Amazon, YouTube, Spotify and anywhere else that will tolerate me. Until then, consider this an interactive scavenger hunt, you can absolutely find them yourself in the meantime, and honestly, that feels very on-brand for a book about navigating infinite possibility with questionable guidance.
Welcome to the noise behind the words.
